Welcome to the D'Artagnan apartment!

The D'Artagnan is located in the historic part of Paris named Le Marais, on a 17th-century building located on a calm little street, 2 minutes away from the Pompidou Center (also known as "Beaubourg").

Just everything is at your door:

- Museums: the Pompidou center of course (which is the "temple of modern art"), the Louvre less that 10 minutes away, the Picasso Museum, le Musee Carnavalet, l'Hotel de Sully...

- Monuments: Notre Dame, Hotel de Ville, la Sainte Chapelle, Bastille, Opera... The Eiffel Tower (which is not in the very center of Paris) is about 20 mn away by metro. The Champs Elysees avenue is less than 10 minutes away by metro.

- Districts: you are in the heart of Paris, in the historic, lively and safe Marais district. The Islands Ile de la Cite and Ile Saint Louis are just near by. The Latin Quarter is on the other side of la Seine (few minutes away) etc.

- Dozens of restaurants and bars, disco, art galleries, boutiques, department stores...

- Metro station and supermarkets, bakeries, groceries ...

The D'Artagnan is ideal for a couple, or a family of 4-5 people:

Very cute apartment and the location was amazing! Thanks, Marie! Also, the AC unit made a huge difference since the nights were quite hot during our stay.

Maria is a professional! Follow all the instructions as she provides prior to arrival and it will be a smooth check-in process. Apartment was very clean and well-stocked. Big plus is the location and amount of space in the apartment. We were able to plan most of our Paris time via walk trips from the apartment. And, this neighborhood is a hub for all sorts of food & desserts, so easy to catch breakfast and dinner. Two notes of caution. First, the unit has a portable AC like most apartments in Paris. It was hot the first three days and we could feel it. Second, the apartment is on the top floor (including attic type space) so ceiling heights are tight around the corners, particularly in the shower space.

This was a great home for me and my boyfriend during our 4-night stay in Paris. We tried to book another one of Marie's apartments, but as it was not available, she let us stay in this one instead for the same price, which was very nice. The apartment is in a great location in the Marais and is easily accessible on the 1 and 11 lines on the Metro. It was clean and spacious, and everything was in working order. We also appreciated the existence of A/C, even though it is a bit different from the central air/window units that we are used to in the United States. Thanks for a great place to stay in Paris!

My daughter and I had a wonderful week exploring Paris! Your apartment was very comfortable, clean and quiet in a fantastic location close to all the amenities! Just one block away we had access to numerous shops and cafés as well as a velib bike station. We were able to walk or bike to all the major attractions! We found your apartment was very generous in size, especially the bathroom, compared to many other apartments or hotel rooms available! Thank you for letting us live like a Parisian for a week!

We loved our stay in the apartment which is located on a very quiet street in a central location in the Marais with easy access to stores, restaurants and the metro. There is an incredible amount of natural light in the apartment! There was an ample supply of hot water and a very efficient heating system. Marie was easy to communicate with; returning emails promptly and arranging for us to be picked up at the airport. She even allowed an early check-in as the apartment was vacant the night before. We would recommend this apartment to our friends.

Dec 2014

My 6 year old daughter and I stayed here in early December 2014. The location was perfect. Only a 5 minute walk on side streets to Hotel de Ville metro on the 1 line (among other lines). Two minutes to Centre Pompidou. Tons of shops, restaurants (bars, from what I could see!) and cultural sites close by. No neighbor noise at all, faces interior courtyard, so very, very quiet. It is on the 4th floor (American 4th floor), which was nice as there was no noise from above. Yes, it was a pain to drag the bags upstairs by myself (there's no elevator). But during our stay, it wasn't a concern at all. There aren't that many stairs actually. Being on the top floor was great as it gave us a skylight and windows on two sides of the apartment. Tons of light. Dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer (!!), free calls to the US (even mobiles), free internet. You won't get a third of those amenities at any chain hotels and you'll pay 3x... I'll never stay in a hotel in a major city again! Lastly, the company returned the deposit within a day of my checking out. Very professional!

The neighborhood was great. The apartment had instructions on how to use all the appliances. The flat was a good size for a family of four. Marie recommended some restaurants. We went to the one around the corner and had the best dinner. Thank you for making our stay in Paris wonderful.

We didn't meet Marie, but she was very communicative over email. She's certainly direct, but I appreciate that -- she runs this listing like a real professional, which is something a lot of AirBnB hosts could learn from. She leaves detailed instructions on how to do pretty much everything in the apartment, and even put together a nice welcome guide for guests.

The flat itself was lovely. A real charming space, in a building that is part of a courtyard. Very quiet, clean, looks exactly as listed. Plenty of sheets and towels. Wifi worked great. Washer dryer worked great. Very little noise to speak of. Bathroom was especially well appointed. Just what we wanted from a Paris flat. Even the pull out couch, which I slept on, was comfortable.

The neighborhood is also great. Lots of restaurants, steps from Notre Dame. Very cute. Also good for LGBT folks, as Le Marais is traditionally the LGBT neighborhood (though anyone would feel welcome).

Overall we were very happy. If we ever go back to Paris, we will be hitting up Marie again!

July 2014

We spent 6 days and 5 nights in this lovely apartment in the Le Marais area (4eme) of Paris. We had the loveliest time in this apartment and would not hesitate to rent it again. From our initial inquiry to the last day of our stay, Marie was extremely responsive to our emails (within hours on weekdays) and she communicates in English fluently.

The apartment is 2 about blocks from the Pompidou Center. It is on a quiet street that's just a stone's throw from all the amazing shops in le Marais. It is t until late afternoon, she provided us the option of using the cellar in the basement of the same building to store our luggage for a small fee, which worked better than renting lockers at a train station. The cab fee to CDG was about 52 euros (without traffic). Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our interactions with Marie. We would love to stay at one of her properties again when we return!

Mars 2014

My husband, three young daughters (10, 6, & 2), and I stayed in this apartment for 5 nights, and we loved it. We are from Austin, Texas, so staying in a apartment that was centuries old with exposed beams was super cool. It had everything we needed, and it was cozy and relaxing after long days out and about. I loved having a washer/dryer-- it made traveling with children much more manageable. The location was ideal. We walked to Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Tulieres garden, the Orsay, the Latin Quarter, etc., with our kids. But it is in the Marais, which is its own cool neighborhood, so in the evenings we could relax away from the intense swell of tourists. For example, in the cafes and brasseries we ate in, we only heard French (in contrast to the Latin Quarter or Eiffel Tower area). That was a huge bonus. There were also several excellent groceries, boulangeries, brasseries, pizzerias, etc. within 3 blocks of the apartment. And the shopping--both funky hipster and high-end chic (e.g., Guerlain, Fragonard, etc.)! Lastly, there is a carousel between the apartment and the Seine (about 4 blocks away). If you've got kids, well, that seals the deal! :)

My family of 5 stayed in this lovely one bed-room apt for a week around Christmas time & truly enjoyed it. It is not roomy, but is at a great location. Easy walking distances to the underground and attractions, including Notre Dame, Latin Quatre, Picasso museum, etc. The hostesses are very professional and helpful. We would definitely go back when we visit Paris the next time.

I stayed at the D'Artagnan apartment for 5 days in May. The apartment was so cute and charming and exactly as she described on the website. It had great natural light during the day. The apartment is located in my favorite neighborhood (Marais) and was only a block away from Pain de Sucre, a really wonderful patisserie. Isabelle and her staff were quick to respond to all of my questions - I had a very pleasant experience interacting with them. I would recommend Isabelle's apartments, and the next time I'm in Paris, I hope to stay at the D'Artagnan again!

The D'Artagnan apartment in le Marais is so perfectly located for everything one would want to do in Paris. It is in comfortable walking distance to a variety of boutiques, book stores, grocery stores, coiffures and restaurants and major attractions. The building itself has a beautiful courtyard in a very quiet neighborhood. Inside the apartment, there is a wonderful, big bathroom with a full tub big enough to have a bath in! It has a fully equipped kitchen, the sofas and bed are very comfortable, and the TV has English channels. I have stayed here twice and would return to the D'Artagnan again and again. Though there is a fair number of steps to get up to the apartment...I count that as my exercise! Isabelle has been very helpful in the renting process and is a pleasure to work with. Over all, the D'Artagnan apartment is a fantastic place to stay to get a real feel for Parisian living!

We were a bit hesitant using the internet to book an apartment but how wrong we were. The apartment is a great size and in a perfect location. All onsite facilities were 1st rate and the free phone calls a bonus. We had a great time in Paris but the3 locstion snd size of the apartment made it perfect, An added bonus was finding Sabine who did a fabtastic job picking up and dropping off at thr airport and her tours were well priced and took in a lot of things you won't see any other way.
