When we arrived at our little apartment, the owner was there to greet us, and let us use her building's elevator to take our bags up to the 3rd (4th USA) floor. The apartment was very clean and inviting, with a bouquet to welcome us. The bedroom is a loft, so the climb up the spiral wooden staircase may not be for everyone, but we managed fine. The location and photos were accurate, and it was very comfortable and secure. It is very centrally located near the Duomo (Santa Maria dei Fiori), Santa Croce, Accademia, Uffizi(get advance reservations), a doable walk to the train station, and lots of restaurants and a market near by. We found a great cafe/gelato place called Vivoli, and our favorite inexpensive pizza place, il Pizzaiuolo, which we went to 3 times during our 10 day stay! Another place we liked near Vivoli was Caffe Italiano. Our 4 flight walk-up helped work off some of those calories! I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to get the Florentine experience, in the heart of Firenze. The bells from the Campanille at Santa Maria dei Fiori were magical. Only draw back were the number of stairs to get to the 3rd Italian floor, and the climb to the bedroom loft, if anyone has a disability or is frail. Otherwise, it's better than a stairmaster! Many old Italian(and French) buildings have no where to put an elevator, as many of the buildings are from 1400, 1500's. Be sure to see Florence some day. It is incredible!

This apartment in Florence was everything we wanted it to be. Walking distance to everywhere including the heart of Florence ie the Duomo, Accademia museum, ponte vecchio to name a few with a view overlooking the Duomo that caught the afternoon sun!!! and was picturesque. We had some really fabulous little restaurants just a short walk from our apartment also so after a day out we would often return home and eat locally. The apartment was comfortable, clean and had all of the modern conveniences including wifi and cooking facilities if we wanted. The owner was very accommodating and thoughtful. If we come back to Florence we will most definitely want to stay in "our" apartment again. I highly recommend this apartment to couples wanting an apartment in Florence with style and class which one should have in this very romantic city.
