Welcome to the La Fayette apartment!

¡¡

This family-friendly apartment is located in the historic part of Paris named Le Marais.

Just everything is at your door:

- Museums: the Pompidou center, the Louvre (12 minutes away), the Picasso Museum, le Musee Carnavalet, l'Hotel de Sully...

- Monuments: Notre Dame, Hotel de Ville, la Sainte Chapelle, Bastille, Opera... The Eiffel Tower (which is not in the very center of Paris) is about 25 mn away by metro. The Champs Elysees avenue is less than 12 minutes away by metro.

- Districts: you are in the heart of Paris, in the historic, lively and safe Marais district. The Islands Ile de la Cite and Ile Saint Louis are just near by. The Latin Quarter is on the other side of la Seine (few minutes away) etc.

- Dozens of restaurants and bars, disco, art galleries, boutiques, department stores...

- Metro station and supermarkets, bakeries, groceries ...

This apartment is perfect for 3 roomates.

- 2BR apartment in le marais: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Marais

- rue des Francs-Bourgeois, 75004 Paris, one of the more interesting streets of le marais: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rue_des_Francs-Bourgeois

- the apartment overlooks the Hotel de Soubise:

- metro Hotel de Ville or Rambuteau

- master bedroom: queen size bed

- 2nd bedroom: 2 twin size beds.

- livingroom: 1 sofa bed, to sleep 1 adult

- Internet included

- Free long distance calls

- 2 AC window units, one in each bedroom

- beautiful view

- hair dryer

rue des Archives*: this is a central, safe and lively area of le marais, comparable to "greenwich village", with bars, restaurants, people walking down the street... Eventhough there are no disco or clubs near by, this is not a "silent" environment. As the apartment is on the 3rd floor, with double insolated windows, the noise remains perfectly bearable.

fully equipped kitchen**: equipped open plan kitchen with dish-washer, fridge, cooktop, microwave, oven, electric kettle, toaster, coffee maker, utensils...

Nota Bene: No elevator to reach the 3rd floor of this 17th century building ( = 3 flights of stairs, 60 steps)...

no smoking

I stayed in Marie's lovely flat with two girlfriends and we had a wonderful stay. The apartment was very clean and beautifully decorated - just like the photos! Checking in and out was very easy and Marie allowed us to arrive prior to check in time to drop our bags off. I would highly recommend this flat and will absolutely stay here when I return to Paris. The neighborhood is fantastic as well - its picturesque and lively, yet quiet at night.

Gracias Marie

I could not have been more pleased with the apartment and the rental experience. Marie made it very easy and gave us clear instructions for checking in, instructions for the apartment, and even helped us arrange a driver to/from the airport. While we didn't need to, she also left numbers for herself and maintenance in case anything went wrong. The apartment was exactly how the pictures depicted. It was light and airy, clean and in a fantastic location. The huge windows gave us a beautiful view in every room and provided a beautiful breeze through the apartment. We absolutely loved it and would definitely come again.

Easy check-in, fantastic location, nice amount of space, cool Parisian view, lovely decor, responsive host. Considering how expensive Paris is in the summer, it is a good value. Advice for other guests: 1) give up on closing finicky doors, just almost close them, 2) in the dead of summer, 4 people maximum unless they add an AC to the living room. 3) go to Huré for some delicious pastries! 4) don't accidentally open the door that looks like it's an elevator door. You might find a guy from the next-door brasserie working without pants :) The trash room is the door right inside the entrance. 5) water spilled on the kitchen floor somehow activates some unpleasant smells. Dry them up, no problem. 6) the dryer only has a very hot option, so don't dry delicates or favorite items in it. Hang them on the clothing rack. 7) the stairs are no big deal.

Three of us stayed in this apartment, 2 adults and one child. It was a great location and we felt very safe. It is in a vibrant and active community, but surprisingly quiet with the windows closed. It has great views and a lot to offer in walking distance including shops and metro stations. The apartment was very nice and clean as depicted in the listing and our host was very helpful. The directions were perfect and the private driver recommendation was a bonus. My child and I departed for the airport before 5 a.m. so having a private driver really reassured me. The driver was friendly and punctual. I highly recommend this property.

This was the most perfect apartment to have in Paris. It was what you would see in the movies. Tall windows opening up overlooking the narrow streets below. Clean spacious and bright with views down 2 streets because it was a corner apartment.

It is centrally located to Notre Dame Place des Vosges, Picasso museum , the metro, and buses. It is well equipped with everything you will need. My husband and I and our grown daughter and a friend stayed here .We absolutely loved it and will return.

Absolutely wonder! The apt is exactly as described and more. Clean, bright, spacious, tons of storage, comfortable, beds, the separate toilet room is a real plus. Close to metro and train stations, cafes, markets, bakeries, boutique shopping and restaurants surround you. Major sights, museums, gardens all within walking distance from the apt. with the exception on Montmare (took a train). Marie is accommodating, prompt response, and well organized. I would defiantly stay here again.

We have just returned from Paris. I have to say thank you very much, Marie, for the reception. We stayed in the apartment La Fayette. The apartment is very nice, perfectly located. On the street safely, so we perfectly rest at night. Should be noted that the stairs are quite steep and apartments do not have a lift, but to us it was not bad, it was an exercise before lifting to the Notre-Dame de Paris.Apartments have everything you need to relax. Perfect! Great! Excellent! We feel like a a little Parisians. Thank you, Marie!

wonderful & romantic Parisienne experience!
me and my colleague stayed three night in her apt.
overall atmosphere of interior was elegant, and there was every equipment we needed to stay. we had no difficult using her kitchen and bath room. beds were comfortable and view was great.
also the rooms were quite spacious and had enough storage space. location was very convinient to reach, and quite safe.
due to our schedule, we had no chance to meet Marie, but she made sure that we had no uncomfortable situations.

My family recently enjoyed a week long stay in the charming LaFayette apartment.
The apartment is in an incredible location, with wonderful views, and only a 5 minute walk to the metro. The apartment was a sufficient size for myself, my husband and our three children (ages 13, 11 and 8). Although it was a bit noisy outside at night because of the bistro below and directly across the street, closing the windows shut out a lot of the noise. The guestbook in the apartment provided all of
the information we needed to function within the apartment as well as useful information about the surrounding area. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking to stay in the Marais.

This was a great apartment, an ideal home base for our family of four. The kids had their own bedroom and each had their own bed. There are several good boulangeries within walking distance (the best is a block and a half down Rue Rambuteau just past Rue du Temple) where we went to get our morning bread and pastries to eat back at the apartment while we planned our day's outings. We loved the neighborhood, and the apt is very conveniently situated. Marie was an absolute pleasure to work with; she made everything easy for us, and was available right away when we had questions. Would definitely stay here again if we're fortunate enough to vacation again in Paris. Thank you Marie!!

This was a great corner apartment in the Marais district, four flights up from a very happening cafe and restaurant scene. The view of the National Archives is amazing. The owner met us on the first day and fixed a broken toilet seat within the hour. It's only a 5-10 minute walk south to Notre Dame, and 2 blocks to the Centre Pompidou. Comfortably sleeps five, can probably sleep more if you bring a sleeping bag or have someone sleep on the floor. We spent most nights in the apartment, cooking in the provided kitchen. Most convenient aspect of the apartment was the dishwasher and washing machine (no dryer but a clothes drying rack is provided in one of the closets). Highly recommend this.

In short : Wonderful apartment in fantastic location. We had a great time staying in the apartment, it had everything this family of 5 needed for a short stay (3 nights). We could easily have stayed longer. Although the apartment is up three flights of stairs, the height means there is very little noise from the street and of course great views. The windows are double glazed and the flat was very cosy and comfortable. The location is fantastic, loads of places to eat & drink nearby, some very interesting shops and bars in easy walking distance. We didn't need to use the metro but there are various stops nearby. Its a very vibrant area. Marie was excellent, she made sure we had detailed instructions and was very prompt in following up our emails. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful family vacation at your La Fayette apartment in Paris. We loved the Le Marais neighborhood and took advantage of the many convenient cheese, wine, and pastry shops! The apartment was spacious and comfortable for our family of four. The views from
the gorgeous windows were fantastic. The apartment stayed nice and cozy even though it was cold outside. And, the shower was nice and hot and strong too! We availed ourselves of all the appliances and everything was working beautifully. The only bad thing I have to say is that we had to leave....!
