The following comments have been left by previous guests on independant websites where we advertize this apartment.

We have just copied and pasted them below.

We enjoyed our stay at Isabelle’s cute gem of an apartment on a sweet street in Le Marais.  Great bakeries and coffee every morning just two blocks in any direction with St Paul Metro station less than 10 minute walk on Rue de Rivoli. Awesome Falafel on historic Rue de Rosiers when we wanted cheap excellent eats after a busy day out - also a simply wonderful bakery in the morning with a comforting Jewish couple at the helm bickering at each other in a combination of yiddish and french - a highlight along with their Pain au Chocolat. Fabulous Brasseries and a great place to picnic with Place de Voges 3 blocks away for a sunny afternoon. We walked easily to Notre Dame and the Louvre, we rode the metro to farther flung areas like Monmartre and the Eiffel Tower but found our place central and easy to access.  The instructions Isabelle sends when you book are easy to follow, even when dragging luggage through narrow streets. Be aware that you will have to climb a flight of worn stairs to the floor where the elevator starts so don’t overdo with the luggage!

The apartment itself was perfect for our purpose. Its a tiny bit shabbier than the pictures show but this does not detract from the charm given its location in this historic district untouched by Hausmann’s plans.  We loved it. My daughter and I each had a separate place to sleep, I loved the open dormer window - the apartment is warm when it’s cold and there is a portable air conditioner when its warmer. We chose not to make any meals there just using the small bar fridge to hold morning snacks before we went out for coffee - there is instant in the apartment along with tea.  The bathtub was large with enough hot water each evening for two women with long hair :) We could not get the adaptor that Isabelle left in the apartment to work with our hair implements but Isabelle had a blowdryer in the apartment.  There were lots of outlets and we bough a cheap adaptor that had 2 USB ports at the Monoprix around the corner (less than 15 bucks) so we could charge our phones - my daughter just did without her straightener for.  This is a common occurance because blowdryers and straightener are much higher voltage in North America - expecting them to work in europe is a mistake.

The payment through the website was excellent and we got our damage deposit back quickly.

I would stay in this apartment again without hesitation. Merci Beaucoup Isabelle!

The rooftop views of Paris are better than the pictures. In all this was great apartment, in a fine building with elevator and excellent location

Great Parisian apartment in the heart of the city and Le Marais. Extremely close to shops, museums, cafés and the Metro. The apartment is just as described in the listing and pictures. Though I did not meet Isabelle, her navigation directions to the apartment were spot on and everything that I needed was found in the apartment. Having previously lived in Paris (in the same neighborhood, but a much smaller apartment), I can say that this apartment was very spacious and accommodating.

We stayed at this apartment and I am very happy with our choice! Isabelle is great host! She will answer your emails right away regardless what time of the day you sent your email. Apartment is located in the best place of Paris! All life is just out of the apartment doors! Extremely great location! Apartment itself if very cosy, clean and just adorable. All what you need to stay in Paris. Wood warm original floor. View out of the window will let you enjoy morning rooftops Paris. Both beds are comfortable. Enough sleep for 3 people. Washroom is clean and roomy, with all soaps (including laundry soap and dishwasher soap) and towels provided. You will find coffee and basic spices for cooking. Internet is fast and never gave us any trouble to get connected. Building is very secured.

We enjoyed our stay in this cute, cozy, romantic room overlooking the rooftops in the Le Marais neighborhood. The apartment was just as it was described, and it located in a great area for shopping and dining. We unfortunately never met our host, but she did give us detailed instructions on how to access the room. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and though it was a great value.

What a charming little flat, decorated with class and style. The pictures are accurate. Fantastic neighborhood with great boutiques and restaurants within a short stroll. Also very central to explore the city. You're at the top floor of a nice building, with a lovely view of the city from the window. Is it small? Yes. But how much more fun to return to your own pad, unique and stylish - rather than some generic hotel room.

sep 2014 - Living like a Parisian in the le Marais

We wanted the option of having breakfast and possibly other meals in (my wife is gluten intolerant,) which meant kitchen facilities and thus an apartment rather than a hotel. We found this apartment met that need nicely with the added benefit of immersing us in le Marias. 300 sq ft was enough space for two people for seven nights. The 6th floor was not an issue for us and provided a nice view over the rooftops of Paris. The elevator is the typical phone booth size but was fine although you'll probably need to relay the luggage up and down.

There are plenty of bistros, cafes and brasseries in the neighborhood for meals out. Place Sainte-Catherine has several that we enjoyed. The St. Paul Metro stop on line 1 is 5-10 minutes depending on your speed and will get you anywhere. The Pont Marie to the Île Saint-Louis is about 15.

All emails with the manager were promptly replied to in a professional manner and the arrangements straightforward, no complaints there.

All in all we enjoyed our stay, liked the apartment, the location and Paris and would recommend it.

We stayed in Isabelle's Mademoiselle apartment and it was a wonderful experience! The apartment is lovely--charming decor--very cozy & romantic. It was very nice to have a separate bedroom and a little living/kitchen room. The view of the city (Paris roof-tops) was also very romantic. It was very clean and the little kitchen was well stocked with utensils & dishes-everything we needed-as we cooked all our dinners in the apartment. Isabelle gave us tips as to where to shop for veggies & fresh seafood. We arrived early in the morning & were allowed to leave our bags at the apartment while it was being cleaned from the previous guests. When we checked out, Isabelle was very accommodating & let us leave our bags in her office until 6pm when we left Paris. The location in the Marais district is perfect--one block from the St. Paul metro, which made getting to everything very easy. The Carnavalet museum is practically across the street, the Place des Vosges is a 5 minute walk, the Pompidou center less than 10 minutes; Notre-Dame Cathedral is a scenic 15 minute walk. The neighborhood is charming and very safe. Our favorite bakery was right at the St. Paul metro. There are several grocery stores in the neighborhood-our favorite was the Monoprix (actually a dept. store with the grocery store in the basement)on Rue St. Antoine walking toward the Bastille. Also, there is an open-air market at the Bastille, where one can get everything, even fresh fish and meat! Our Paris experience was fabulous, largerly due to where we stayed. Isabelle is both professional and friendly-it was like renting from a good friend. The on-line reservation made everything very easy. One should have no qualms about renting an apartment from Isabelle or the on-line process. We will definately rent again from Isabelle when we return to Paris! --Shoshanna & Andreas

My boyfriend and I stayed at This apartment in the Le Marais district of Paris. It was such a cute apartment. It was clean and in a great location. Isabelle really thought of everything, she left guides in the place, she had a notebook full of suggestions on things to do and places to eat, and she even had adaptors so that we could plug our electronics into the wall! I definitely plan on booking an apartment from her the next time I'm in Paris.
